Ira Fox, MD, DABPM, FIPP
Dr. Fox founded Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants in June 1996. He has spent almost 20 years treating patients with acute and chronic pain. Dr. Fox attended medical school at the U.A. of Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico and is bilingual. He completed his medical education at State University of NY at Stony Brook, NY. Dr. Fox did his residency in anesthesiology at Monmouth Medical Center in NJ where he was Chief Resident.
Dr. Fox has passed the exclusive World Institute of Pain (WIP) examination to become a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP). Based on his ability and experience, Dr. Fox has become a board certification examiner for the international organization. As an Examiner he observes applicants performing procedures and assesses their techniques.
Dr. Fox maintains the following board certifications: World Institute of Pain; American Board of Pain Medicine; and the American Board of Anesthesiology with added certification in Pain Management.
Most recently he was elected “America’s Top Physician” by the Pain Management Consumers’ Research Council of America, and listed as a Top Doctor in Broward County by the Gold Coast Magazine. Dr. Fox has been published, lectures internationally and has had multiple media appearances.

Jay E. Lasner, M.D., DABPM, FIPP
Dr. Lasner co-founded Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants in June 1996. He received his medical education at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson. He was a Fellow in Pain Management at both the Roswell Park Cancer Institute at the State University of New York at Buffalo and the Pain Control Center at Wake Forest University Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. In addition, Dr. Lasner was a Naval Flight Surgeon for the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute in Pensacola, Florida.
Dr. Lasner maintains the following board certifications: World Institute of Pain; American Board of Pain Medicine; and the American Board of Anesthesiology with added certification in Pain Management.
Dr. Lasner is a member of the American Pain Society, the International Association for the Study of Pain, the International Spinal Injection Society, the North American Spine Society, the Southern Pain Society, the American Academy of Pain Medicine, the Florida Medical Association, the Broward County Medical Association and is a Life Member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
He was elected to “Best Physicians in the USA” in 2003, 2004 & 2005 by the Consumer Research Council. Dr. Lasner sits on several local hospital committees and advisory panels, and is frequently asked to speak on various pain medicine topics.

Winston Parris,MD, DABPM
Dr. Parris has been treating patients at Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants since September 2003. He now serves as our Director of Clinical Research. He most recently accepted the position as Professor of Anesthesia and Chief of the Pain Programs at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Parris attended medical school at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica and completed his residency in anesthesiology as the Chief Resident at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Dr. Parris was a founding member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine. He was also a founding member and served as President of the American College of Pain Medicine, the American Board of Pain Medicine and the Tennessee Pain Society. Most notably, Dr. Parris served as President of the World Society of Pain Clinicians, developing pain clinics in Africa, Latin American, the Caribbean, the Far East and Eastern Europe. He founded the Vanderbilt Pain Control Center and served as their Medical Director for fifteen years.
Dr. Parris received the Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George (CMG) for his service and accomplishments in the field of Pain Medicine from the Queen of England. In addition to lecturing extensively, he has published three books and written well over a hundred scientific articles.

Neil Weisman, MD, DABPM FIPP
Dr. Weisman joined Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants in April 2004. He attended medical school at the University of Miami, Florida. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at University of Miami - Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida. Dr. Weisman served on active duty with the United States Military at the Charette Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Dr. Weisman completed his Fellowship in Pain Management at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He gained experience as a staff anesthesiologist at American Medical Care in Hudson, Florida as well as at Trillium Pain Management in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Dr. Weisman is a noted lecturer and has given numerous lectures on Anesthesia and Pain Management topics. In 2008, Dr. Weisman has completed rigorous testing and has been accepted by the World Institute of Pain as a Fellow in Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP). He holds the following board certifications: World Institute of Pain; American Board of Anesthesiology in Anesthesiology with added certification in Pain Management; Diplomate National Board of Medical Examiners; and Diplomate American Board of Anesthesiology. In addition, he is a member of the International Spinal Injection Society.

Lynne Rich, PhD, FACFE, DABFM, Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist
Lynne Rich, PhD, joined APCC in August 2006. Dr. Rich is Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Neuropsychologist who received her Ph.D. from Michigan State University. Dr. Rich has maintained a successful private practice in South Florida for many years. In addition, she has worked as a court appointed evaluator for the Court Mental Health Unit and Child Dependency Unit of the Broward County Court System.

Leroy G. Appell, M.D.
Dr. Appell joined Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants in April 2001 as chief anesthesiologist. He attended medical school at the University of New York Upstate Center in Syracuse, New York and completed his residency in anesthesiology at Shands Teaching Hospital, University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
Dr. Appell has been practicing anesthesiology since 1964, where he worked for the North District Hospital, Holy Cross Hospital, Imperial Point Hospital in addition to outpatient surgery centers throughout the area before joining Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants.

Eduardo H. Marti, M.D.
Dr. Marti joined Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants in September 2001 as a staff anesthesiologist. He attended medical school at the Universidad Complutense De Madrid in Madrid, Spain, and completed his residency in anesthesiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Marti has been practicing anesthesiology since 1974, and has worked for Margate General Hospital, University Hospital and Plantation General Hospital before joining Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants.

Ramesh Sogal, M.D.
Dr. Sogal joined Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants in September 2003 as a staff anesthesiologist. He attended medical school at Karnatak University in India and completed his residency in anesthesiology at Grant Medical College in Bombay, India and Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Dr. Sogal has been practicing anesthesiology since 1979, where he worked for the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio until 2002, the Rand Eye Institute from 2002 before joining Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants. He maintains the following board certification: American Board of Anesthesiology.

Daniel J. Gallardo, M.D.
Dr. Gallardo joined Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants in February 2004 as a staff anesthesiologist. He attended medical school at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, School of Medicine in Bogota, Columbia and completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Gallardo has been practicing medicine since 1969. He maintains the following board certifications: American Academy of Pain Management, American Academy of HIV Medicine and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians.

Marie-Ange Angus, CRNA
Marie-Ange joined Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants in December 2003 as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. She attended school at the Harlem School of Anesthesia in New York, NY. In addition to being a CRNA, Ms. Angus earned her RN degree and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) degree.

Gary Sebert, CRNA
Gary M. Sebert has been a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with Anesthesia Pain Care Consultants since November of 2007, working closely with the physicians to assess the patient and provide assistance in the application of anesthesia. He is a licensed by the Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists. He graduated from Charleston General Hospital School of Anesthesia and also earned an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences - Nursing from Parkersburg Community College.

Albert DiLoreto, Physician Assistant
Albert DiLoreto is a Physician Assistant at APCC since April 2004 providing valuable support to the physicians in the practice. He is a licensed Physician Assistant with a national Commission of Certification of Physicians Assistants. DiLoreto earned his Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University and has a Masters of Science in Public Health, also from Nova.

Giovanna C. DeOliveira, Nurse Practitioner
Giovanna C. DeOliveira, has been a Nurse Practitioner with APCC since January 2006. She provides an essential starting point for patients’ interventional pain management treatment. She is a Florida Registered Nurse, maintains her ACLS certification and American Academy of Nurse Practitioners national certification. DeOliveira earned her Masters of Science in Nursing as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from Wayne State University and has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, also from Wayne State.
